Singapore Travelogue / Shopping Guide

Singapore is one crazy place to be. Eventhough the currency is doubled the RM, you can still shop like crazyyy (trust me, I was mad), if you know places. And my partner, *definitely* knows places!

Qiu Ting / Qiu Qiu (you'll hear me call her with either one of these names throughout the episode) is a Budget Barbie. She has her own show of budget shopping in Singapore on clicknetwork.tv. WHAT IS THIS?! PERFECT SHOPPING COMPANION OR WHAT?! And despite all the vanity and narcissism in her writings, she is one humble human being. I was quite taken aback on how much she was willing to sacrifice for the show (hari pertama kami shoot dua segment sebab jadual berubah, jadi kami perlukan dia dalam baju lain. Terus dia cari dress nak beli di tempat kami shoot itu. Dan tempat kami shoot itu adalah boutique mahal! Self-less sangat, asalkan the process goes smoothly. Kemudian salah kami (first time shoot overseas), terlupa nak beritahu yang TV9 tak allow sleveless. Tanpa tanya apa lagi, dia cari kedai dan beli scarf untuk melilit bahunya. Dia tak kisah pun scraf itu akan tak sesuai/ merosakkan the whole look she has put together. Pastu I nak bayarkan scarf tuh pun dia tak bagi. Langsung tak bagi, tolak terus my tangan. And then for the last segment, kitorang shoot pada hari dia buka blogshop kat festival. Hari yang dia PALING BUSY. Tapi dia willing jer! Siap mintakkan organizer allow the shoot to take place nak cover event tuh. Dan dalam sibuk2 dia menjual barang, dia siap kumpulkan SG celebrity bloggers yang lain untuk bawa I pergi makan! Dan akhirnya bila dah habis shooting, token diberi dalam sampul, dia langsung taknak habis-habisan. Dia kata dia memang nak buat benda nih ikhlas dan tak perlukan bayaran. Dia ni angel ke apa?!)

I tulis dalam BM sebab diorang tak paham Malay langsung hahahaha takpe Google Translate pun sure tunggang-langgang ayat. Maka... imagine kerojakkan bahasa untuk episode ini! I had to speak to Qiu Qiu in Eng, when I turn to the camera, I *almost* immediately cakap Malay pula for TV9 audience. Akhirnya paling senang, I just cakap both Eng Malay, just like how I do here, and in real life. Kalau nak dengar saya cakap proper Malay without rojak sedap, silalah tonton Panorama TV1. Ooops, dah terlepas lama dah :P
