Kenapa awak dah tak menulis lagi?

"Kenapa awak dah tak menulis lagi?"

"Saya pun rasa camtu. Rasa dah lama sangat tak betul-betul menulis. Mungkin sebab semua yang saya nak cakap dah diekpresikan, bukan dengan tulisan"

"Terkena badi cinta macam saya?"

Bersambung...

Okay tipu takde sambungan.

Belum sempat tulis artikel proper, hanya rangka.

Saya sedang menghadapi final exam dan bakal selesai beberapa hari lagi. Jadi apakah maknanya? Masih perlukan doa-doa anda semua dan tiada Maggi bagimu, Hamis.

Taken.

I came home for this 1week study leave (leaving behind my studies) aaaaaand mendiscover ke-sweet-an adik-adikku apabila mereka beria-ria "Keknis Keknis! We've recorded Taken for you!".

Few days before I board the plane to Frankfurt (alone), someone tweeted me that I should watch Taken, the movie about female tourists getting abducted and turned into prostitute. I tried putting reminder in my phone and reminded everybody kalau nampak Taken on HBO please call me and etc. Tapi tak dapat juga nak catch the movie before my Euro Trip.

But now, thank God for Astro B.yond PVR and my little siblings yang sungguh peka atas keinginan Keknis mereka (I love you Haffiz & Alisya), dapat juga I watch it, even after dah balik Malaysia lama dah. OMG NASIB BAIK TAK WATCH BEFORE THE TRIP, WOULDVE BEEN SUPER PARANOID.

Always listen to your Daddy.

Boarding the plane to Malaysia. Safely home :')

Good movie! Watch it!

How Every Female Belongs To A Sisterhood

Macam kalau kau tengok seorang gadis jalan-jalan memakai tudung dan baju yang tak matching langsung, mesti ada perasaan nak sit the poor soul down, dan explain to her what is fashion. Ataupun bila terdengar seorang gadis sedang menangis sambil gaduh-gaduh dengan pakwe dalam talipon dekat tangga, mesti nak bisikkan di telinganya BREAK! BREAK! BREAK! You and me, we are sistas! You and me, we care about our sistas! Terharu tak?

Tapi dalam ramai-ramai sistas, yang paling saya nak jaga ialah of course my little baby sista, Alisya. Kalau dia nak mengadu kawan jahat, telinga saya untuknya. Kalau dia nak menangis hingus meleleh tanpa tisu, bahu saya untuknya.

Belum? Mari saya nak kongsi.

Lipice S.O.S adalah FB app kegilaan kami sekarang, sorry Rahsia Tarikh Lahir Pasangan, it’s no longer you. It is now Lipice S.O.S app! S.O.S? Lagu Rihanna kah? Tettttt, it stands for Society Of Sistas!

I can’t imagine life without you, girl. Mari saya ajar.

2. Pilih untuk main SOS app.

3.

4. Once you’ve uploaded a photo, edit and insert your message to your sista! Sista is someone you share sisterhood and girly bonding with. Not necessarily blood-related.

5. All is set and ready to be posted!

6. Once campaign in over, you’ll received this along with your edited photo, printed!

Seronok, tapi dah tak surprise for Marlisa sebab I dah post this entry in my blog. Hahaha. Never mind, you can still surprise your sista, have fun while at it.

7. Inilah peluang nak bagitahu your BFFs, betapa bermakna hidup apabila dikongsikan dengan mereka. Kalau ada more than 1 BFF, sila main app ini banyak kali dan hantar seberapa banyak sample Lipice your heart desires.

8. Don’t forget to browse to the SOS gallery and get inspired!

9. XOXO, your sista Hanis Zalikha.

Guide to All Things Touristy in Hong Kong

I have an amazing bestfriend. She’s creative, intelligent, helpful and simply brilliant. I could always count on her; when I told her I need a travel guide to Hong Kong (she’s been there before), she emailed her own Guide to Hong Kong. Imma share with you now:

Visiting Hong Kong by Marlisa Halidi, writer of The Fuschia. (Accompanied by my pictures & captions).

Things to note;

• Nothing is halal unless stated.

-Halal eateries are quite rare in Hong Kong. Travellers on a budget would probably opt for McDonald’s Fillet o Fish, or pack on some food from home (dry+frozen) to be fully utilized in the hotel rooms.

-Stuff in a tiny rice cooker and some frozen lauk pauk from home, and you’ll be fine.

Mushroom rice, egg tarts and corn from KFC! Yums!

Light meal at the airport while waiting to board.

• Language

-They don’t speak much English (but better than some European countries to be honest).

-Unless you know Mandarin, you will never know the exact way to pronounce something even if it is spelled out in normal alphabets.

-Instead, make use of the doorman/receptionist to write down the place you intend to go in Mandarin. So once you get a cab, just show the paper to the driver. Easy peasy. Also, to get back easily, grab a few hotel cards from the reception table, and show one to the driver if you are heading back.

• Going Places

-The MTR (HK’s version of LRT) is really simple once you get a hang of it. It is really efficient; time wise, but expect lots of fast walking from one station to another. Make sure the first thing you do once you arrive at the airport, is to get an MTR map. Lots of colours, lots of stations. For example, to go to Z, you’ll have to take a train from B, then switch to train R then switch to train H then later to train U , before you arrive safetly in Z. It’s like that because HK apparently, in case you don’t know it, is huge.

At the airport, obeyed bestfriend's instructions and got my hands on the MTR route map.

Superbly-easy-to-use touchscreen ticketing machine. Just pick your destination and pay price stated.

Trust me, you won't get lost.

-Taxis are expansive expensive :B , but it’s vintage Mercedes with an automatic door, what would you expect from that?
Airport provides efficient taxi service. The people in blue coat will guide you till you put your bags in the taxi! It’s easier if you go to Disneyland Resort first because hello, each and every taxi drivers know where it is! Just say Disneyland Resort!

Only RM50.00 to go to Disneyland Resort from the airport. All taxis use the price meter, fret not.

• Shopping

-Ultimately, the purpose of visiting Hong Kong

City Gate Outlet

Close to the airport. Tons and tons of Factory Outlets. A seasoned shopper would probably drag a few luggages (yes luggages) as they shop, because everything is affordable/cheap, so expect to buy stuff in bulk. To get to this place from Disneyland Resort is as easy as ABC. Take the MTR and it’s only a, more or less, 10minutes journey.

And many more. I love this place.

The area of 1881 Heritage

Tons of big labels in fashion. Don’t be too surprise if you see people lining up to get in Chanel and got out with paper bags as if Chanel is the new Giordano.

Space Warehouse

Where all the Prada lovers come along and shop.

Mongkok

A central of all things nice. Sneakers, high street labels and etc. Sneakers are apparently a big (and cheap) thing here. Expensive ones are like Anthropologie London, but there are the usual Chuck Taylors, Keds and Nikes. The place will start buzzing around late evening.

Sasa in Mongkok

It is definitely bigger than ours in Malaysia. A wonderful place to dwell in.

Ladies Market in Mongkok

The usual market-bags/vintage finds/necklaces, etc.

I’ve always love a pasar malam. I saw this place (Ladies Market Mongkok) in Amazing Race once, and can’t believe I’m finally here. Make sure you tawar-menawar kao kao if you want to buy anything; start off with half price and if they refuse, walk away.

Lane Crawford Warehouse

-Near the Harbour City, at Tsim Sha Tsui.

-Imagine getting a pair of Ferragamo’s for RM400? That is a steal. Places off-season stuffs, and for those who do not mind with that, feel free to visit.

Disneyland

-One word: Plan. It opens at 10.30 am. Upon arriving, do take the obligatory picture of yours in front of the iconic Mickey face made up of flowers. Then dash to get yourself a map.

-Don’t get seduced by the commotion of it all. Be calm and plan which shows to go first etc. The place is divided into four sections, so plan wisely. Prior to all this, do check the shows’ schedule at Disney hotel lobby.

-Have a Mickey Waffle!

-Take the Tour train that will bring you around the whole place so that you get a glimpse of each part of Disneyland.

-Watch Festival of Lion King Theatre! Brings me to tears .

-Merchandises are of course, expensive. But real fun to look at.

Ocean Park

Victoria Harbour

Symphony of Lights The Peak

Taking a tram up to the Peak might be the coolest thing you’ll do in your life. Cold air, and all.

Before I go, I must show you how beautiful their airport is.

See the clock behind me?

All the clocks in the airport = Rolex.

That is all, do visit Hong Kong when you have the chance.

Signing off, Hanis Zalikha in the street of Mongkok.

Women Should Experiment New Products

Are you adventurous? Do you like to try new things? I am. WITH PRODUCTS! LOL were you expecting rock-climbing pictures and me eating grasshopper in the street of Vietnam T_T

Anyway, I am a firm believer that if you’re loyal to one brand; they gain, you lose. The competitive market out there doesn’t allow any brand to stay on top of their game for long. Give any of their best product a one month or two, before another product of different brand comes along; better and improved!

That is why; I can never give you a straight answer when you ask, “ME WANT BEAUTY TIPS, GIMME ALL THE NAMES YOUR MAKE UP AND FACIAL STUFF SO I CAN COPY”, simply because, I am constantly trying out new products by established brands and even, new brands in the market.

It is so much fun to browse through the eye-catching packaging of new products and surprise yourself with the wonderful purchases, because most of the time, new product works better due to the competitive factor and advanced technology.

Case in point, my make up stuff. I don’t stick to one brand for the rest of my life. I’ve tried high-end brands, drugstore offerings, beli kat Giant also got, because it’s not about the price or the brand. You just hafta try em all to know what suits you best!

For face powder, I’ve tried Christian Dior, MAC, the cheap Miyami (RM16), and now waiting for Bobbi Brown to finish and can try other brands! For mascara (the most fun experiment because they keep coming up with new ones) so far I’ve tried Lancome, Loreal, Maybelline and now Silkygirl is drying up, gonna hit the drugstore and find something new to try out!

The same goes for fragrances (though some people prefer to have their own signature smell) and toiletries. It is an endless discovery process and you will never lose. As of now, I’ve been sticking to the same brand of sanitary pad and it’s about time I try out the new Libresse. You’ll never know you like it until you try it.

Watch it and I’m sure you’ll want to buy Libresse.

The design, fit and absorption seems so much different than the readily available products out there. It follows the shape of your body; it curves up at strategic areas like the butt crack teehee. I want to move freely when I’m having my period and I do not wanna use tampons! I’m very certain that Libresse is the solution to this after watching the video on their website, easily influenced T_T.

Also, I wanna try their stretchable pantyliner (I’ve never come across a stretchable pantyliner before this). Don’t underestimate it’s power to keep your private area clean.

Let’s try it out soon, girls! In the meantime, wander around their website for amazing fun as shown below.

What’s next for Yuna? Drop your phone number to see it! I did and she called me!!! Masa phone ringing serious terkejut LOL bahu terangkat. I pick choice number 2 and totally love it, thanks Yuna for the inspiration! You girls should give it a go ;)

Why Disneyland Hotels?

Why Disneyland Hotel(s) is the place to stay when you’re in Hong Kong?! Here’s the thing, Disneyland is a resort okay, so inside it there are two amazing hotels.

1)Disneyland Hotel 2) Disney’s Hollywood Hotel.

BOTH ARE EQUALLY REMARKABLE AND GORGEOUS HOTELS.

My suggestion is that, from the airport, just take the taxi (only RM50) and go straight to Disney Resort (WHY? BECAUSE ALL TAXI DRIVERS KNOW THIS PLACE JUST SAY 'DISNEY'). Then check in into any of these two amazing hotels, get your lunch, and visit the HK Disneyland theme park.

Later from the Disneyland Resort, if you want to go to the Hong Kong city, just hop in the MTR! They made it special for you…

Talk about convenience!

We stayed in Disney’s Hollywood Hotel as shown below:

Hollywood!

It is perfect for anyone who’s planning to go to Disneyland; at the lobby you can find all the information you need on live show slots and timing.

Hotel map, the one you can raba-raba.

Very comfy beds, I must say. Slept like a big fat baby. No offense, big fat babies out there.

Quirky interior design.

So yeah… now shall I take you for breakfast? In Chef Mickey, Disney's Hollywood hotel! Makan jer excited. Excited jer makan.

Remember the crazy-awesome Indian dish with crazy-awesome kuah Dahl I had at the theme park? They have it here too! Gila woh orang Cina masak masakan India gila sedap. What can’t these people do?!

I assure you, they really jaga their food quality. Everything so fresh and sedap.

And if you come here (Hong Kong), don’t forget to try the fruits! Juiciest and sweetest fruits I’ve ever tasted in my life, ever and forever. I think me and my mom mengadap buah jer even went to the supermarket to buy more buah LOL.

Now let’s see what the next hotel, Disneyland Hotel, have in store for us!

The deco here is very different from the old-Hollywood-movie-vibe that the other hotel had. Here you can say it is quite dreamy with a touch of Victorian elegance.

We had lunch at the Crystal Lotus, Disneyland Hotel; a 7courses Chinese Lunch. Simply a mouth-watering dim sum lunch experience.

We simply told em no red meat, and they served us like bunch of seafood-eating kings :’)

I CAN STILL REMEMBER THE TASTE OF THIS NASI KETAM *BERJUJURAN AIR LIUR*

Aren’t you the cutest little thing? How can I ever eat you?

Like this. Adalah a piece of heaven pau-pau di atas. It’s Disney’s style dim sum with characters like Chicken Little, Toy Story Little Green Man (namun ini adalah pork, tidak dimakan tsk) and Duffy. I recommend you to get this lunch package from Crystal Lotus, for a dining experience that you cant get elsewhere.

Now do you want to see what it’s like to have breakfast in dreamland? Only in Disneyland Hotel, baby!

The place is called Enchanted Garden. You will see why.

Ain't it pwettyyyyyyyy?! Not to mention, the service here is superb! They are very very quick and friendly.

Mickey waffles! You must not miss this one!

Take note that this is the best hash brown in the world.

Jealous much?

Not anymore.

After breakfast, go and take a walk around the park. Breathtaking!

Seronokkk. Signing off, HZ. Ticket and hotel room prices are all inside here ! Go get em, tiger!
